FAQs
Is all custom work extremely expensive or can you work within a budget?
The more elaborate the design, the more expensive the invitation, but we can work with most budgets to achieve something special, yet affordable. Some of our simpler, classic designs cost about the same or sometimes even less than some of the collection wedding invitations you will find at most invitation or Stationery retailers.

How much time should be allowed to complete the entire process?
We recommend that you begin the design process 3-4 months prior to the date you want to mail your invitations. Most wedding invitations are sent 6-8 weeks before the wedding date, so allowing extra time should ensure that the entire process is more relaxed and enjoyable and that the end result is exactly as it should be.

What type of printing do you offer?
We currently offer offset printing for all wedding invitations and the printing costs are already reflected in the invitation pricing. Offset printing is very high-quality printing which produces sharp results. It is one of the most versatile types of printing and is quickly becoming the industry standard. If you are interested in another type of printing, we are able to outsource the printing to a print house and the additional printing charges will be reflected in the adjusted invitation price.

Is there a minimum order amount required for custom invitations?
The minimum order amount for custom wedding invitations is 100. The printer we work with requires a minimum of 100 as well. Remember to consider that we are unable to print extra invitations once your job is completed when you are deciding how many invitations to order. It is typically recommended that you order around 10% more invitations than you need.

Why do I have to pay a design fee prior to signing a contract?
The design fee covers the time we spend to create your proofs before a contract has been signed. Each design fee constitutes five proofs created according to your specifications. Within these proofs, fonts, graphics, and designs can be interchanged and intermixed to create one perfect design for your wedding invitations. If you choose to sign a contract and proceed with the remainder of the design process, this fee will be applied to the total balance of your order.

What information do I need to provide to begin the design process?
You can contact us via this web site or by phone to discuss what type of invitation you would like (e.g. traditional, classic, contemporary, modern, etc.) for your particular wedding. We will send you more detailed information regarding color and style options and specific pricing for invitations as well as any other wedding details you might be interested in. We can send paper and/or ribbon samples if you are having trouble deciding on a color scheme. If you would like to check out your paper color options, you can go to www.envelopments.com and click on the "colors" link. We offer any of the Envelopments stocks. If you have any further questions regarding the design process, please feel free to contact us via e-mail or by calling (412) 519-8851.
